| The surveys are done biannually: summer and winter. For the summer survey, rates in effect for the month of
July are utilized. For the winter survey, rates in effect for the month of January are utilized. The electric
providers' are ranked by rates for 500, 1000, 1,500, and 2,000 KWH (kilowatt hours), respectively. All electric
providers in Georgia participate in this survey. The electric providers are the
Electric Membership Corporations, the
Municipal Electric Systems and the investor owned
utility (Georgia Power Company).
